How Arizona Electrician license verification works

A Electrician in Arizona is licensed by the AZ Contractor Licensing Board. PrimaryCheck looks the license up live at the board's public verification system (board lookup) by license number, or by name when no number is supplied. The record the board publishes is captured as evidence, hashed, and rendered into a proof PDF.

Fields returned for this board: license_number license_type class_code class_description status qualifying_party business_name business_dba address phone contacts other_licenses.

Board note: Arizona Registrar of Contractors 'Contractor Search' (roc.az.gov → Salesforce Experience site azroc.my.site.com; roc.az.gov itself is Cloudflare-challenged, the Salesforce site is not). Guest Aura call apex://ARCP_ContractorSearch/ACTION$getRecords {searchKey, classification, city} with aura.token=null answers plain httpx (2026-11-04): businesses with licenceData rows (ROC number, class, status, qualifying party) and contacts. A ROC licence is the business's; the claimant must be its qualifying party. No expiry or discipline columns published; status is the standing signal (Active / Expired / Inactive / Suspended / Revoked / Voluntary Cancellation / Frozen). Classes: General … → contractor_general; C/CR/R/L/K-11 → electrician; -37/-37R → plumber; -39/-39R → hvac.

What a Electrician license check returns

Field check	Passes when
`license_number`	Equal to the board's number, ignoring prefix and leading zeros
`name`	Last name or declared alias matches; first name exact or nickname
`license_type`	The record is a Electrician license, strictly (no near-miss types)
`status`	The board shows an active status; probation is active with a flag
`expires`	Expiration is on or after today, where the board publishes it
`disciplinary_actions`	Recorded and flagged with any order documents; never silently dropped
