A General Contractor in Minnesota is licensed by the MN Contractor Licensing Board. PrimaryCheck looks the license up live at the board's public verification system (board lookup) by license number, or by name when no number is supplied. The record the board publishes is captured as evidence, hashed, and rendered into a proof PDF.

Board note: DLI Construction Codes and Licensing Division nightly CSV exports (secure.doli.state.mn.us/ccld/data/MNDLILicRegCertExport_{Electrical,Plumbing,Residential_Contractors}.csv; every column kept; max age 3 days). Electricians (Class A/B Master, Journeyworker A/B, Power Limited Technician…), plumbers (Master, Journeyworker, Restricted), residential contractors (Qualifying Builder/Remodeler/Roofer/Installer = the person; the business licence BC… does not print its qualifier → ambiguous_match for a person). HVAC is not a Minnesota state licence (Mechanical Contractor Bond is a business bond) — not covered. The interactive iMS lookup (ims.dli.mn.gov) is behind a login/guest wall and was not used. 2026-11-04.
