How Utah Paramedic license verification works

A Paramedic in Utah is licensed by the UT EMS Office. PrimaryCheck looks the license up live at the board's public verification system (board lookup) by license number, or by name when no number is supplied. The record the board publishes is captured as evidence, hashed, and rendered into a proof PDF.

Board note: Bureau of EMS ImageTrend License Management portal; its JSON API (emslicense.utah.gov/admin/api/api/users/PublicLookupUser + getusercertifications) answers plain httpx, reCAPTCHA disabled for the enterprise (checked on every call). Name search is a contains match; exact last name kept. No DOB. Status can read Active past the expiration date → expiry check governs.

EMS Compact (REPLICA) and multistate Paramedic licenses

Paramedic licenses can carry a multistate privilege under the EMS Compact (REPLICA). When the Utah record shows a multistate license, the result includes multistate: true and the privilege states. Privilege status is confirmed at the compact's own lookup, never inferred.
